The Hotel Playa Esmeralda is on the beautiful beach of Guayacanes, in the municipality of San Pedro de Macoris. This is the area's most beautiful beach in the eastern Dominican Republic. It's a little corner of paradise where the splendid architecture of its colonial buildings with cane ceilings, panelled walls and typical limestone mix with luxurious tropical vegetation. The small fishing village of Guayacanes is the end of this splendid setting, composed of small, colourful wooden houses that actually represents the true Dominican. Add to this the joy of music and the simplicity of the dignified and serene people.
The Purple House, as the name suggests, the Riad Casa Lila lives up to its name. Upon entering the Riad you notice the delicious sweet tooth-type colors. It's a small and quiet place where words are only whispered to the other guests. The Purple House is centrally located in the popular area of Medina of Essaouira (which, unlike Marrakech, is much quieter), where you can go anywhere on foot because it's small and compact. The walls, the port and the souks are located nearby and it's the ideal spot to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing drink. This place consists of 8 rooms, each of which has a different suggestive name, such as: saffron, lilac, pink powder, etc. Moroccans live in harmony with French-inspired details in their homes. You can have breakfast either in the yard or on the pleasant terraces on the upper floors that are equipped with deckchairs and beautiful views of the old city by the sea, the beach and the islands of Mogador in the background.
Riad Tanja is located in the Tangier medina and is a great place to stay or even just eat. It's tucked away on Rue du Portugal in the old media and is worth visiting for the decor alone (carpets, fountains, terraces and Moorish courtyards). The dining room is decorated in bright red and the riad has a lovely terrace with great views of the medina and the Strait of Gibraltar. The rooms are all on the upper floor and are luxuriously decorated with traditional paintings and carvings from the Tangier area. The rooms are between 75 and 100 euros per night.
Bayeux is a city a must for those wishing to visit the mythical Norman area which held the Allied landings in France, since it was the first town that was liberated from the Nazis after many bloody battles. You can find a lot of information in this city. However it is also a place that few know about, which can be very convenient. This is a convent where we can spend the night and offers a very different picture from the usual tourist lodge. This is the convent of Bayeux. Access is easy and the same tourist office can help us if we ask. The highlight is the treatment and hospitality of the sisters in charge of the historic enclave, which enjoy the tranquility befitting a religious monastery. Most often, if we aposentamos in one of the rooms we find a mostly empty hostel that offers surprising. Sisters addition to your camping ye shall loose on the inside of the building, its gardens and orchards and even usually provide some keys to enter and get out when we please. If you visit the area, clearly I recommend you to rest within the walls of an amazing place.
The Peace Hotel in Shanghai is one of the most renowned buildings and dates from the years of Western colonization. It is also without a doubt the most famous hotel in the city, although it is far less popular than it was in its prime. It is the epitome of Art Deco in this Chinese city and is located in front of the promenade of the Bund, where you can see countless skyscrapers.
The Hotel Villa Paradise is a farm that became a hotel, on the banks of the Rio Dulce in the area of Izabal. You arrive by boat from Morales and the bridge of Rio Dulce (free for guests) or by car and on the way you can take in the wonderful landscape that surrounds you. The Villa has all the comforts you need with mosquito nets, a pool, a restaurant Guatemalan food, shrimp cocktails or fish marinated in lemon, cilantro and chopped tomato, guacamole. It's 3 euros to spend the night in a bungalow for two people, but if you go as a group of friends can rent a two-story bungalow that can be shared by up to eight people. They offer many activities, boat rides, walks in the Villa, which is immense, rides on horseback or on foot, there is a canopy where you pass through the trees, and the pool to cool off, it gets pretty hot and humid. Do not forget your sunscreen and mosquito repellent, as it is built on the mangrove. The restaurant has an internet station, where you can organize the rest of your trip.
This photo was taken on vacation in June-July full on quite a cloudy night with a full moon in Cafam Melgam park. it isn't very high quality because I didn't use the flash so as not to ruin the blue light and the contrast of the castle. It was a quick photo because the sky was constantly moving. The moonlight was continuous until the moonlight shone through the clouds in a scene that was very beautiful with this childhood fantasy castle showing a scene almost straight out of a fairy tale.
In the lagoon san juan solola you can find a place full of culture. It is a very small indigenous town with Mayan people from tzutujil in their habits, you can do many activities like climbing or going on a coffee tour, visiting different textile associations and seeing the women's group called L ema who dye their textiles with natural dye. If you think about coming to Lake Atitlan do not leave without visiting the lagoon san juan.
Very nice American-style Marbella villa with capacity for 12 people and an equipped kitchen ... . 25,000 per person. Las Cabañas Hotel holds 58 people and has a pool ....we also have other splendid villas for the same price but without a pool.
The beautiful village of Göreme has many affordable places with excellent views: the Traveller's Cave Pansiyon is no exception. You can have a double room for six euros per person. This place is cut into the rock. An a la carte breakfast is included and there are views of all formations of Cappadocia! In addition, the staff is excellent, they have Internet, you can leave backpacks there during the day for free ... The small restaurant terrace has a stunning view; Inside, during cold weather, everyone gathers around a cozy fire while eating delicious Turkish cheese or French toast ... The rooms look like something out of a story, you feel as if you suddenly turned into a gnome and lived in a fireplace in the rock. Clean sheets without a musty odor... Yes, the shared bathroom has no heating and that, in Cappadocia, is a small problem when it's time to take a shower! Besides all this, you will meet a lot of people from Asia, since most of the employees are from this area of the world, and it attracts a lot Korean, Chinese, and Japanese tourists ... The nights at the inn are hilarious! A place to remember, the best and the cheapest of all the hostels I've stayed in Turkey.
This hostel is situated in the heart of Antigua but in a fairly quiet street, is the perfect place to rest. A very affordable -5 euros-we had a double room with breakfast included and free internet. The hostel also organizes tours to the nearby volcanoes, has a minibus service to the main destinations in Guatemala and adjacent places. It is usually pretty crowded, so a reservation is recommended. Anyway there are three hostels within twenty meters that also are also very good looking and with similar characteristics. The rooms are simple but very clean. If you can choose to ask the lady for an upstairs room, completely made of wood and with a view to Antigua and the volcanoes. We stayed in one of them and it was amazing. Probably the best place to sleep throughout Guatemala. The windows have screens, you can use the kitchen and drinking water is free. What more could you want! I completely recommend this place to visitors to Antigua.
Kas is a beautiful city and is also close to some of Turkey's famous sights, so it's the ideal place for planning different routes. There are quite a few options for accommodation that are fairly priced and Kas, and you won't miss out on atmosphere, especially at night. We opted for the Hilal Pansiyon and it was fantastic. The property is very cozy and it offers bright and spacious rooms. It's not that they're super luxurious, but they were comfortable. And the price, which is 10 euros, includes dinner and breakfast. The owners are super hospitable and they will do anything to keep you comfortable at all times. The dinner they usually make is delicious traditional Turkish food, usually with a fish barbecue. They usually have the barbecue on a terrace filled with plants that's very cozy, but when we went, it wasn't very crowded so we had more luck. The owner took everyone who was staying at the guesthouse to the beach and we made dinner there. I forget how many people were in our group, but it was a good amount and he took us in his car, so we had to make several trips. It was amazing, we had a blast and it was the best way to meet people from everywhere. The truth is that the owner was amazing and those are the things you never forget. By the way, there are a lot of places where you can eat quality food at affordable prices in Kas.
The Novotel Milano Malpensa is located right next to the airport, so it's not close to the city centre, and is most convenient if you have to stay temporarily with an early flight. Like all Accor hotels, the rooms are quite large and have been recently redecorated. There's a flat-screen TV, desk and sofa, a kingsize bed and a beautiful bathroom with bath and shower. The hotel runs shuttles to Malpensa airport all day, and in the reception you can view a screen showing departure and arrival times of flights. Some rooms have wifi, which is free, but you have to ask for the code. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are quite expensive: 15 euros for a plate of hams, 20 euros for a chicken breast with vegetables and 6 euros for a glass of wine, but in the area, you won't find anything better.
It is a big place! I liked it. My room was lovely with views of the waterfall, illuminated by sunlight in the morning. The bathrooms are very big and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great because you can pick what you want, also it is included in the price of housing, which I think is good. Very clean and friendly place. I could relax and have some pleasant moments. I spent most of the time in the pool which is very nice. Service is first, all of the staff looked after me as if I were at home! ....... A place to remember and return on my next vacation!
This place gave me a kind peace I had never experienced even though I've been to several sheltered forests but this place has a unique charm. Its people are also friendly and hospitable. The need to be in good shape for the in order to get to the lagoons that in the early morning they are grandly calm. You have to be careful around them as some of them are aquifers for the country's drinking water.
On the shore of Lake Ohrid in the city of Pogradec, about 30 miles from the beautiful town of Ohrid, UNESCO World Heritage site, but beware, you have to cross the border with Macedonia, and perhaps the rental car does not have the right to do so. The hotel is quite clean, but looks much newer on the outside than inside. Inside its decoration is from the years 50-60, when it was a resort for the middle class of the communist People's Republic of Albania. Now it is opening up to more international tourism, and there are especially Poles, Russians, Serbs... A night in a double room will cost 60 euros in high season, and will include breakfast. There is a restaurant that serves food all day, but for dinner it is nice to find a lakeside terrace.
It is not easy to describe my experiences that I have lived over forty years. However, the most significant experience is experiencing the transformation of the town in recent decades: From a small village with dirt roads, cloud forests, swidden, springs, morning mist into a town with a schoolhouse, etc.. So what is today, I can't quite describe because I don't want to judge it .
