Preserving Californian culture
Annual festivals are held in the Casa de Adobe which is a supplement to the Southwest Museum in Los Angeles. It was organized for many years by Isabel López de Fages, who served as host of the House. She as a descendant of the first settlers of the Spanish era. She and her husband, Alfonso (Bud) Fages were involved in a variety of activities to preserve and promote Californian culture.
