Kasbah of Chefchaouen

The medina gravitates around the Plaza Uta el Hammam, where you can buy Moroccan souvenirs, snack quietly in the cafes or tea rooms, or just sit and let time pass. Right in front of the square you can admire the red walls of the restored Kasbah where its red earth contrasts with the blue of the rest of the old city's buildings. The kasbah has several buildings separated by a central garden. Inside the Kasbah, there is a small art gallery and an ethnographic museum displaying old photos of the city, Rif art samples, and traditional dresses. One building has a tower from which you can view the city,
