A history and culture center
The American Swedish Institute (Minneapolis) is a historical house museum and cultural center that is located near the center of Minneapolis. A Swedish immigrant, journalist J. Turnblad, founded the Institute in the year 1929. The Turnblad mansion that houses the Institute is on the National Historical Register, and inside, you can enjoy a mix of period rooms and exhibition galleries.
