Colorado National Monument

This little known park is located on the outskirts of the anonymous town of Grand Junction: a circular road rises dramatically from the flat valley, crossing the whole park before lowering down at the other side. At the entrance you'll be given a detailed map of all the scenic spots along the way, some really worth a look, most notably Artists Point. Here you'll find beautiful views of the deep and spectacular canyon watched by mountains of granite. Go to the Visitor Center to learn more about the history of the park.
