Athens

There are several archaeological sites ranging from archaic Greece to the Roman domination. Besides the major archeological sites like the Acropolis, the two agoras, the Kerameikos and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, there are many places in town where you can see a small piece of an old building. From the monument of Lysicrates Filopappos to the remains of a wall near the central market, the baths on Amalias street or a vertical section of archaeological layers in the Syntagma Metro Station. The city changed considerably when the Olympics Games were held here. The food is good and the people friendly.

Athens cradle of civilization

Excellent

A look at the classics should be the first trip for all serious travelers. The history of Athens extends over 3000 years, making it one of the oldest inhabited cities. During the classical period Greece was a powerful city-state and was instrumental in the development of democracy. It was also a cultural center where many great artists, writers and philosophers of antiquity lived. Athens contributed to the thought of this time and greatly influenced the development of Greece, Rome and Western culture.

Athens

The Olimpico Stadium to the Temple of Zeus, with the Parthenon ever present on the Acropolis. Approaching the Parthenon can see the amount of debris that try to recover. As we ascend, many shops invite you to spend, to browse and of course, shopping.
