Athens Meat Market

3 reviews of Athens Meat Market

Market

This large market which is not indifferent to anyone who visits. You either will love it or hate it from strong smells and raw images. The market, called Agora, is next to the street of Athens, and is divided into 4 main sectors. On one side of the street it has the largest area, the fish and seafood and meat. The meat portion extends along the corridors, which is notorious for refrigerators, windows and hanging hooks where there is any edible animal meat. It sells almost all of the animal: we will always heads, feet, hooves, organs, etc. It is also normal to see the animals without butchering, whole, and the butchers working in the middle of the aisles (watch blood splashing).
