If you are in Portugal, it is an absolute must to try the cod. This particular restaurant offers a menu with multiple options and fine wines. I recommend that you book because, especially on weekends, it can get very busy. Cando gets very busy and the staff leaves a bit to be desired, but I recommend patience, because when you try the cod, you will completely forget the disappointment ... I also recommend sitting on the floor near the windows, the view of the Douro is beautiful.

This restaurant is situated in Gaia Baclahoeiro, near the D.Luis I bridge. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant, the staff are super-friendly and they have excellent wine. They offer cod in a variety of different ways, honoring the restaurant's name. We ate Portuguese-style cod and cod "a bras," both highly recommended. The desserts are beautifully presented and delicious. The price is good, I would say that it is rather cheap for what you get.
