Beehive

The Beehive is another of Newcastle's old pubs. It lost a lot of its glory with the modernization of the banks of the River Tyne and a lot of its clientele with all the restrictions on the use of alcohol. It is a lively place, located right on the Bigg Market Square. It is particularly busy at the weekend, when it is invaded by college students. The prices are medium but seem very cheap if you come from London. A pint of beer costs about 2 pounds.
