1 review of Nonnenhaus Tübingen

For monks...?

Great

This convent has no name ("Nonenhaus" means nunnery, or convent in Spanish). It is situated in the center of the beautiful historic city of Tübingen. It was constructed in the mid-15th Century as the first convent of Dominican nuns. Later on, it became the place the first botanical garden in the city was established. It is a beautiful building, looked after by the town. It rises up next to the canal which crosses the village (from "Ammerkanal"). It is surrounded by other buildings which are just as nice and still relies on a front construction which, according to legend, was a laboratory in its day.
