Although the mountain has little more than 700 meters, don't underestimate the climb. It's a grueling climb that takes about 4 hours to complete. First comes The Law, a very steep mountain where we found ourselves literally climbing stone, or "scrambling" as it is locally known. From the summit of 600m, the climb to Ben Cleuch is a pleasant walk, wind permitting. Finally, we found ourselves at the highest point in the Stirling area.
