Incredible Pinchos

I love going to each pinchos. Since I’m from Cantabria, Bilbao is really close to me, and I go there every chance I get (to Bilbao, San Sebastián, Getxo, Irún…) and almost every time I’m tempted to each pinchos everywhere I go; one glass of wine here, another there. But I must be really traditional, since the last time I was there I encountered pinchos like I’ve never seen before. For mi, pinchos are an art in themselves, yes, but they are also something very simple: a pincho with cod and mushrooms, with shrimps, crab, red pepper and cheese, things like that.

They are elaborate but simple. Bitoque Restaurant proved me wrong. It’s hard to explain in words the series of flavors and sensations one has when tasting such exquisite things, so the best I can do is show you pictures and give you the name of the pinchos and their price, this way you can reach your own conclusions and decide if it’s worth trying them or not.

Great Cuisine

It is a small kitchen designed and prepared for big challenges and revolutionizing the concept of “pincho”, adapting new techniques and textures in traditional plates.

I’m speechless when trying to describe this fabulous pincho bar next to my house.
Last year, I think they won the pincho championship of Biscay (and the region is full of delicious pinchos), and all of this comes out of a small kitchen.

I haven’t eaten in Bitoque yet, but I’m sure I will soon; you have to book in advance, since it only fits 12 tables.

Very Worthy

I share the information, including the part that you must book in advance. I managed to eat there some pinchos not long ago, since the place is usually packed.

I have to say that it’s worth eating there, the pinchos are excellent, and the offer of wines is a bit limited but satisfying. It is a place to enjoy great cuisine (in a small place!).
