The Bryan Texana Foundation (Houston) has 3 important collections of records. First, the Galveston Collection has 2,302 pieces including important documents covering the history of the town of Galveston, from its early days in the 18th century onwards. You can learn more about the exploration and founding of the city. There are also Spanish documents covering the history of Mexico from 1785-1850, with manuscripts, prints, and documents about policy, legal history, and economics. Finally, the Philpott Collection has 575 pieces, early manuscripts about the state of Texas.
