More than 1 million pieces of bubblegum in this alley

Seattle isn’t the only city with a wall full of bubble gum. Right in Downtown San Luis Obispo is an alley decorated with more than 1 million pieces of gum over the years, and there’s room for many, many more contributions. It’s tucked in the block on Higuera Street between Broad Street and Garden Street. It’s both a fascinating and disgusting sight because, really, how cool is it to walk into a bubble gum-smelling alley with so many pieces of gum? What’s a little gross is that some of the gum is really old. Still, it’s an intriguing sight overall. There’s a store right next door that sells gum balls if you’d like to contribute to the walls but don’t have any gum on hand.
