Building and Church of Mercy

This building, located opposite the exhibition center, is where you can find the Holy House of Mercy of Barcelos, which gives care and assistance to the needy. Formerly Capuchin monastery (17th century), but almost nothing is conserved. The building has a long façade, whose linearity is only broken by the baroque facade of the church. It was also destroyed after a fire. The current building was constructed in the late 19th century.
