Caves in the Lingyin Temple

4 reviews of Caves in the Lingyin Temple

Make a Wish

The caves found in the grounds of the Lingyin Buddhist temple are some of the most interesting things that you can visit here, which is saying a lot! There are several caves with Buddhas carved into the stone walls. Most of these carvings are scattered along the banks and hillsides of the temple area and date back from the tenth to the fourteenth centuries. Chinese tourists tend to touch the small buddhas carved in the cave walls in order to make a wish.
