Change in Course of Rio Grande
The 222,200 sqm park memorial serve as a cultural complex and contains art galleries, a theater and an amphitheater. A museum displaying the history of the border with Mexico, is inside the visitor center. The park displays the settlement of the Chamizal, more than 100 years of border problems between the US and the country of Mexico, which ended up with the decision to change the course of the river Rio Grande between the cities of El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
