Chapel Saint Oran

Located right next to Iona Abbey on the small island of the same name, St. Oran's chapel is surrounded by an old cemetery and is free to visit. We found examples inside of an art that has since disappeared: engraved tombs. In the Middle Ages, the master carvers of the region practiced their art on these tombstones, and you can see representations of weapons and knights buried here!
