Chicha por Gastón Acurio

This is a trendy restaurant in Arequipa so it's best to make reservations. The famous Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio serves a modernized version of the traditional Peruvian food, focusing on local products grown in the area in which its restaurants are located. The restaurant is very cozy and has different atmospheres. Casona is located in Santa Catalina, made of the ashlar limestone typical of this area. You enter through a courtyard with a central fountain, and once inside, you can opt for the terrace or one of several dining rooms. The service is exquisite and the food ranges from different types of corn-based breads, to die for, up to desserts, all presented elegantly.
