Chiesa Santa Margherita

2 reviews of Chiesa Santa Margherita

A beautiful church

Great

Small and beautiful, this church overlooking the Via Trecchi may well go unnoticed by visitors. The most interesting part of the building are the frescoes, which are some of the best in Cremona. You can see them along the six side altars, depicting scenes from the life of Christ. They were made by Giulio Campi, with his brother Antonio. Campi also built the church itself in 1547, on behalf of Bishop Marco Gerolamo Vida.
