Cloisters

Excellent

The Cloisters is the section of the Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art) that exhibits Medieval Art. It is not housed in the same building, but in a place specially chosen for its location and magic on the banks of the river at the northern end of Manhattan Island, a lonely place of great beauty. It opened in 1938 and consists of five cloisters, brought stone by stone from Spain and France. It features medieval treasures, such as the Unicorn Tapestries, statues, etc.. It is a pleasure to walk around. You can buy a ticket in the morning and then take the subway about 5 blocks to visit the Met with the same ticket in the afternoon.

A beautiful view

Excellent

Located in the heart of the Annex of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, called the Cloisters, Bonnefont is undoubtedly our favorite part. The cloister is superb, very well developed, with a garden of more than 250 different plants and pretty flower beds. And to top it all off, the court has a beautiful view of the Fort Tyron Park and the Hudson River ... luxury!

It has five thousand European medieval works of art, with a particular emphasis on pieces dating from the twelfth to the fifteenth centuries.
