Gorgonita
In honour of Professor Corino Andrade
Facing the Misericordia Church and Hospital of Póvoa, a monument has been built to honour Professor Corino Andrade, a neurologist from the early XX century who dedicated his life to studying paramyloidosis. The monument consists of a bust of the teacher on a pedestal on which there is a commemorative plaque. It was built to celebrate the centenary of his birth in the year 2005.
