Dragão do Mar Center of Art and Culture

Built in the old port area, the Art and Culture Centre is located in Praia de Iracema. Its attractions include the museum of contemporary art, a theatre, some cinemas, an ampitheatre, a cafe, and a planetarium. It's all free, and there are concerts and other cultural activities held here. On Sunday afternoons, there are fun activities for children. In the surrounding area there are several bars, restaurants and artisan shops. On Friday and Saturday, the area comes alive with the sound of samba. I love it!

A very beautiful and interesting place to go for a walk with family and friends.
