Deering Estate

I enjoyed exploring Deering Estate. There is not only the original house, there are also beautiful trails and access to Biscayne Bay. I really liked the house tour and learning about the history of Charles Deering, of International Harvester Fame, not John Deere like many think. It's $12 for adults and $7 for kids but well worth it because it includes a free tour. I'd recommend packing a lunch and enjoying it while overlooking Biscayne Bay!

Another great thing about Deering Estate is the wide range of programs and events they offer. If you enjoy early mornings, they offer canoe rentals from 10am - 3pm on Sundays.
