Unique Danish Collections

Den Fríe Udstilling is generally given the nickname Den Fríe which means free exposure, and is a group of Danish artists who formed a group from 1891 to protest against the conditions of exposure Charlottenborg Palace. The palace, built next to Nyhavn Harbour, was very unique, and the rejected artists, led by Johan Rohde, opened this place. The building is in front of Osterport station and the citadel of Kastellet. Today a collective of 41 artists exhibit their own works throughout the year. The opening hours depend on the schedule but generally they only open in the afternoon. They say it's the oldest arts association in the world.
