A beautiful building
Samode Palace, one of the most beautiful buildings in Rajasthan, was built in the eighteenth century at the foot of the Aravali Mountains. After years as a private residence, it was converted into a luxury hotel that has been voted Best Heritage Hotel in India for several years. The hotel has several rooms reminiscent of the imperial grandeur and lifestyle of the Maharajahs who once lived here. The most striking room is the Durbar Hall, or Hall of Mirrors, a luxurious foyer where important visitors were received. The mirrored filigree and huge crystal chandelier are sure to catch the eye.
