Thousands of spectators

Excellent

Every September 6th, with the firing of the third firework at 6:00pm on the dot, the Cascamorras leaves from Arrodeas. He's received by thousands of revelers who splatter black paint on him to try and prevent him from carrying the statue of the Virgen de la Piedad. He knows he's in for it the second he arrives! He stops in Plaza de las Eras, where he waves his flag for the thousands of spectators. He then comes down and gets splattered again in the Caños Dorados area. Then, he arrives in Plaza Mayor where he is cheered and performs oaths to the flag, and the multitude cheers his resilience during the race.
