Falls of Peace

The La Paz Waterfall Gardens are a private ecological reserve in Vara Blanca in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It's full of interesting trails for travelers of all ages and is has an amazing array of wildlife like birds, butterflies, snakes, toucans, and hummingbirds (you can actually feed and interact with the toucans!). There is a frog display with a number of colorful species and, if that wasn't enough, a total of five waterfalls along the trail. The complex also has a beautiful hotel, a gift shop, and a restaurant. It's one of my favorite places in Costa Rica and I'd recommend it 100%.
