See how what gold mining used to look like
The El Dorado Gold Mine is just one of many mines that exist in the interior of Alaska, near Fairbanks. This mine has a train that takes you around the mine so you can see how what gold mining used to look like and what gold mining looks like today. At the end of the train ride you are given a bag full of dirt and taught how to find your own gold. At first it's frustrating because you don´t know how, but when you start to find gold it gets very exciting. There is a big souvenir shop where you can see huge gold nuggets that have been found in this mine.
