Loire Valley food and music festival
The Loire Valley holds festivals of all kinds during summer. The Cosmopolite festival, in the small town of TRUYES (about 20km from Tours), is one of them. It is held in August, have a look at the website for more details about exact dates and the programme of events. It varies each year.The prices are really reasonable: between 5 and 10 euros depending on if it's Friday, Saturday or both days you are going for. Inside the enclosure, the food and drink is actually very cheap (about 2.50 euros for a beer, 2 euros for fries, 3, 4 or 5 for more plentiful and tasty dishes like rice and Asian vegetables).The strange thing is to see how the families of this rural area come with their children to this cheap festival and listen to rock bands and techno music until the end of the night.....however, this adds to the relaxed atmosphere, it doesn't matter if you're not a fan of the music.
