Fort Clinch State Park

Fort Clinch State Park

1 review of Fort Clinch State Park

Great place to get away from it all

Located at the tip of Amelia Island, at the end of Fernandina Beach, Fort Clinch is a state of Florida Park and a great place for bird watching, walking along the beach, searching for sea shells, visiting the fort or getting away from it all to enjoy nature. The fort itself is a 19th century brick fortress that you can explore on foot alone or as part of a guided tour.

The Fort Clinch fishing pier is a favorite spot for bird watching, as well as possible navy drills and submarine comings and goings. As you look north from the pier you can see the shores of Georgia and Cumberland Island.
