Für Völkerkunde Museum

The Museum für Völkerkunde is a majestic building located on Maximilian Strasse, near the Maximilianeum (parliament of the region of Bavaria). The collection was started by the Wittelsbach family in the sixteenth century but its permanent location was commissioned by King Maximilian II of Bavaria to the architect Eduard Riedel in 1865.
