    The Galle Fort Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels to be found in the colonial city of Galle. It's in a large colonial house that was restored with all the modern comforts, and the result is spectacular. If you can not afford a room, you can go to have a cup of tea or a cocktail at the hotel bar in order to see inside. It is definitely worth a visit. There is a pool in the central courtyard, which is perfect for kids and deliciously cool after a hot day of sightseeing. There is a choice of 11 rooms and suites, all carefully decorated in a colonial style, with dark wood furniture, mosquito nets and air conditioning.
