Purest Hellenism!

The Hellenistic period began with the rise of Alexander the Great and lasted until the death of Emperor Augustus. During this time Greek culture spread to become the seed of the spirit of the West. Rome took this art as a reference for over a thousand years. The collection of statues of this time are important. Hellenistic style is more expressive and dynamic than previous styles (archaic and classical periods). Like the violent movements (called foreshortening), impossible positions, baroque hair and clothing and the representation of hermaphrodite beings. It's very peculiar, for example, the statue of Tyche, goddess of good luck and fortune, with baskets of fruit on her head and profusely decorated.
