1 review of Gruinard Bay

Beach and mountain

This large bay is one of the most beautiful places on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. Located 12 miles north of Poolewe, the bay has three totally unspoiled sandy beaches, some settlements and even a nearby campsite. The area is geologically very interesting, as there is a lot of rock diversity and different kinds of formations. As for the beaches, there are small marine animals and and the water is very clean and safe. You have to be brave to get in though because it is very cold. It's a wonderful landscape to enjoy.
