Hawk Cliff

1 review of Hawk Cliff

A Hidden Cliff with a Beautiful Lake View

Located just outside of Port Stanley, Hawk Cliff can be easily missed as you drive past, as there is only a small sign for "Hawk Cliff Road" pointing you in the right direction. After you drive down a dirt road, you'll reach a dead end, which is where you will find Hawk Cliff. This cliff is a migratory area for hawks, eagles, and other raptors as they fly south for the winter. The best time of year to visit is in September where special bird-watching events are held by the Hawk Cliff Foundation on select weekends. Make sure you bring a pair of binoculars, a chair, and some warm clothing. Be prepared to see over 15 species and thousands of birds a day migrate across Lake Erie to warmer climates.
