Igreja do Rosário

The present baroque style Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Blacks So Benedito, originally from 1946, was built on the site of the old church demolished in 1931. The first church of the Rosary was built by slaves, in a colonial style in 1737. It was the third church in the city of Curitiba, after the mother and the Order of the Church. The original name was the Church of Our Lady of the Black Aces Benedict. With the abolition of slavery, the church has lost it's original reason for being. It served it's purpose in the years 1875-1893 matrix, during the construction of the Cathedral, Tiradentes
