Ancient ruins
In the center of the village on the small island of Iona, located in the Atlantic near Mull and the Scottish coast, lie the ruins of an ancient Augustine Sisters convent, which was established in 1203! The abandoned buildings were restored several times during the twentieth century, and it is now possible to visit and explore the ruins with the help of explanatory panels placed around the site.
