1 review of Jindřichův Hradec

Lovely village

This Medieval village is located in southern Bohemia, quite near Moravia and Austria. It is next to a lake and has a historic center of houses that were rebuilt after the great fire of 1801, the colonial style adds a nice touch to this lovely village. It's biggest attraction is it's renaissance style castle, the third largest in the Czech Republic. Another key site is the Church of the Virgin Mary. In the building, that was a former Jesuit college, is the Bethlehem of Kyza, registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest mechanical nativity scene in the world.
