When I get tired of the endless sushi-steak-pizza restaurants, I usually make a point of finding something new that I've never tried before. Kublai Khan is a Mongolian restaurant in the Quayside area near the River Tyne. It's an ideal location because you can have dinner then continue your night out at a bar or club. The restaurant only opens in the evenings from 5:30 to 11:00pm and closes at midnight on Saturday night. They have a buffet of Chinese and Mongolian dishes, each identified and explained.
