La Fraiseraie

The Fraiseraie is an obligatory stop for something sweet in the Pornic. It's in the plaza Petit Nice, near the castle of Gilles de Rais, overlooking the harbor. It is an ice cream parlor, which also has stores in Nantes and La Baule. Previously, it was a producer of strawberries, hence its name. My favorite combination is a strawberry and mango cone. They are very creamy and have delicious Italian ice creams like strawberry islands and coconut. It is customary to eat ice cream at the famous "mur of lèche" opposite the ice cream parlor but you can also walk to Noëveillard beach. In the shop you can buy local products such as jam and cocktail snacks.
