La Gorda Gertrudis Statue

This is one of the most popular places in the historical centre of the city, a statue of a very scantily-clad woman with little to cover her incomparable curves. She seems to have little shame, and everyone who passes by stops to admire her, particularly in this age of digital cameras! It was called Reclining Figure 92 when it was first donated to the city in 2000, but it's better known as Gertrudis or "La Gorda Getrudis" (the fat), and has become a beloved figure in Cartagena de Indias.
