A Walk in the Island
La hilera de la cumbre is a path that goes from the Refugio (where you take the road) up to the Roque de los Muchachos, which is a part of the path of the greatly visited route GR-131 called El Bastón.
It is a great path that goes along a forest trail that divides the island. It is an easy path for any type of hiker, including children, although you have to take into account that there is not much shadow.
From up you have a beautiful view of the islands’ two slopes. The paths in La Palma are usually well signaled, so there is not much possibility of getting lost.
