The Plains of India

The Plains of India is a large flat area that's considered the heart of India and is where most of the major events in Indian history have occurred. It is where we find the national capital, New Delhi, as well as the regions of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. The main cities to visit in the plains of India are of course New Delhi, the country's capital and one of the oldest cities in the world, and Varanasi, a holy city located on the banks of the River Ganges. Every year, millions of pilgrims come from across the country to bath in the legendary ghats of Varanasi, which also happens to be one of the oldest cities in the world.
