House of the Composer, Smetana
The most striking feature of the town is the Castle of Litomyšl built in the Renaissance style in the sixteenth century, which looks more like a palace than a castle, it has no walls or towers. The castle grounds is a heritage site , since apart from the beautiful building it was the birthplace of the famous Czech composer Bedrich Smetana. You can visit the interior, although it is convenient to check the schedules because in the quiet season it closes early.
