Ruggedly beautiful
At the entrance to the Highlands on the A82 we find this great lake, quite different from all the others you'll find south of the Highlands. Here the waters are dark, and the mountains are more threatening. It's a clear sign that you're entering one of the most inhospitable landscapes in Europe. From the A82 highway there are several points to stop and walk around Loch Ba, an ideal spot for fishermen because of its variety of species. A little further on is the natural park of Glencoe.
