Lyons

Lyons is a restaurant behind the clock tower in Kandy, and is very popular with locals. It's a cheap place, but with little attention to decoration and style. Upstairs there is a large room with tables, and downstair is a tekeaway. We tried the "Lyons Special" which is a huge plate of fried rice with all kinds of meat and sausages, plus an egg, supposedly for one person but two of us could hardly finish it. This dish, believe it or not, was 600Rs, which is about three euro. Then they have seafood, but this day they didn't, fish, soups, which are is no big deal, but they fill you up. Quantities are generous and friendly service.
