A good place to eat
Madame Sophie's is a popular Portobello Road restaurant because of its warm first floor terrace where you can eat outside. From above, the views across Portobello Market are lovely, but don't be fooled - when you actually go outside, it will be freezing! The British, who enjoy several beers with their lunch, don't seem to care about waiting more than an hour for the food, but I preferred to go inside for faster service. The food changes with the seasons: salads, quiches, healthy pizzas, and carrot cake. A good place to eat well, and cheap, less than £ 15 per person including a drink.
