Madre de Dios Parish Church

4 reviews of Madre de Dios Parish Church

We were heading to Plaza Mayor when we saw this church and decided to take a look. Initially we only saw outside only as it was closed. To see inside there is a mass at eight in the evening, get there half an hour early in the holidays. I remembered reading that this parish church is a popular place with many activities. It was built in the late Gothic style with some early Renaissance elements. The facade integrates the bell tower, between the buttresses and the bulky front. Inside is open plan, which is common in La Mancha. There are three aisles of the same height, separated by pillars. Since we spent all day in Almagro we saw the inside.
