Main Park

Concepción is a municipality in eastern Antioquia, about a 2.5 hour road trip from the city of Medellin. You can get there by Barbosa or San Vincente de Ferrer. My tour left from San Vicente, where we were delighted by the beautiful scenery. You can see the valley of San Nicolas and as far as the Guatape, the majestic dam. the road from San Vicente isn't paved, so you have to exercise some caution. Upon arriving at Concepción, you'll be immersed in a place that keeps its streets clean, and a beautiful central park where there's a statue of an important person in Colombia's history, General José María Córdova.
